Amokura is a 54ft long keel classic yawl built by A.H. Moody and Sons of Swanwick in 1939 to a design by Frederick Shepherd. Her construction is of splined Pitch pine planking on Oak frames copper fastened. Her decks are 1.25inch Teak laid on marine ply. The coachroof and bulwarks are of varnished Teak.  She has a lead keel and is understood to have bronze keelbolts. Mechanical propulsion is by Nanni 80hp Turbo diesel driving a three bladed propeller on a stainless steel shaft through a flexible coupling.

She offers up to nine berths in three cabins. The forecabin and aft cabins both have en-suite heads with showers.
