    Cowes 2008

Antares is a double ended, Gaff schooner built by the Brauer Yard, Vegesackon the River Elbe in Germany in 1945/6 Carvel, mainly Oak on Oak. She has a full length keel and deadwood. Ballast is internal, concrete,  incorporating some Iron. Iroko decks, new winter 2006/7

She underwent major refits, monitored by the surveyor, in 1997/8 and 2006/7.

Accommodation

She offers accommodation for up to 11 in 4 cabins and has a good heads with shower and a BATH! 
Fore cabin -  2 x double berths + 2 singles + pipe cot
Owner's cabin to starboard - large double berth
Bathroom / heads to port
Midships is the snug with a settee to port and a dinette to starboard
Then there is the Pantry / Bosun's store with Fridge and electrics panel opposite
Steps lead up into the Deckhouse with the Galley to starboard and table and settee to port
Aft down the steps is the aft cabin with double berth to port and single to starboard
Hatches in the Deckhouse sole give access to the engine bay 
Antares has sat 16 for dinner - in two cabins on three tables - but it was "a bit squashed!"
