Specifications

Barbary Ketch, Barbary Spirit, designed by Walter Rainer, was fitted out by FC Mitchell & Sons  of Poole, Dorset, on mouldings by Robert Ives, of Christchurch and launched in 1974. it is understood that she was Epoxy treated in 2000. Her topsides are finished  with two pack white paint.

The Barbary Ketch is a heavy displacement, long keel motor sailer. Her iron keel is totally encapsulated in the GRP moulding - there are no keel bolts.

Her superstructure is a GRP moulding with Treadmaster non slip inserts (due for update soon)
