De Blauwe Maan is a modern Classic Yawl designed and built by Manfred Kessler, Germany in 1982. The hull shape is based on the famous Sparkman and Stephens Bloodhound design from the 1930s.

The hull is cold moulded 5 layers of 7mm Mahogany epoxy glued onto laminated Mahogany frames.

She offers up to six berths in three cabins. Mechanical propulsion is by 90hp Fiat AIFO diesel and she has a Generator Bow thruster and even a washing machine!
