Blossom is a Stroma Yole Built by Macalister of Scarfskerry, near Wick, in 1995. Construction is clinker, Larch planking, copper fastened on to steamed Oak frames.   She is based on the traditional designs of the late 1800's. 

Blossom has a Perkins 403C-15 33bhp  3-cylinder diesel engine (New 2005) driving through a PRM gearbox.

She has a simple dipping lugsail rig, and comes with two sails the larger of which is new. There are two berths in the forepeak for occasional overnight stays.
