"Blossom", Stroma Yole Lying Montrose

Owner's Comments![]() Like many others I am very interested in old traditional boats. I am very keen on trying to keep these tried and tested designs alive. I have always admired a boat called Pentland Rose, originally used in the late 1800s as a ferry between Scarfskerry and the Isle of Stroma. When I found Blossom, almost identical to Pentland Rose, but built in 1995, I just had to have her. She was built for Scottish Traditional Boat Festivals and has won prizes for previous owners.
I have never entered her at shows but she always creates a great deal of interest when we sail in to a harbour looking for a quiet pint. We get bombarded with questions so we usually hang around for a couple of hours or so and then sail off into the next haven |
