Blythe Avocet is a 1975 Varne 27 offering up to five berths and with a Volvo MD7A 13hp Diesel engine driving a folding 2-blade propeller through a sail drive. The sail drive gasket was renewed 2002.  

The Varne 27 is designed by Duncan Stewart and built by Varne Marine.

The topsides were resprayed and the hull coated with copper loaded epoxy antifouling 2003

She is a fast, attractive, cruiser with excellent performance.
