Practical Boat Owner, April 1994: -
I find her a biddable and predictable boat which will take an owner anywhere in the world provided he or she is up to it. Speed is respectable: 4-ish knots in a F3 and about 6 knots in a reaching F5. The Wing will stand up well to her canvas, and is stiff and stable - once she's over and into her groove. There always will be boats which point higher, go quicker and which cost more than the Wing. The thing is to sail well and to enjoy the water. Nevertheless you will see some yachts struggling and failing to keep up with her.
Under engine things are fine. The Wing throws water aside beautifully and gives a comfortable ride. As far as were concerned the Wing is a thoroughbred, vice free yacht.
This is one of the cleanest, best presented boats that I have come across for some time, her owner has really taken pride in her. He has sailed her largely single handed and she was certainly sailing well when I took these photos.
Getting on in age and being inundated with requests to sail on the boats of others, her owner has decided to retire from boat ownership.
