Specifications

Cantare is a British Registered, Sterling Class, long keel sloop designed by C.R. Holman and built by Uphams in Brixham in 1962. Construction is Larch below the waterline and splined Mahogany above. Frames are understood to be steamed Oak, Floors also Oak. 

Decks are sheathed ply.  Her Stainless Steel rigging and bottle screws were all replaced in 2003. She has a long Iron keel and transom hung rudder with tiller steering.  All but one keelbolts were replaced in 1995 last one, under the engine in 2006.
