The Cervantes Saavedra, started life in 1934 as a Swedish Lightship, Sydostbrotten, was converted to sail and, in 1982 as Amorina, took part in the Cutty Sark Regatta.   She was converted to Sail-Training in 2007. Since then she has participated in the "Tall Ship Races" and has worked in many additional roles.

She has a Riveted Steel hull and a Welded Steel superstructure
