Dorana is a Leigh Cockle Bawley built by Drake brothers of Tollesbury, on the River Blackwater, Essex, in 1939.  Originally built as a working Cockle Boat she has been sympathetically converted to provide accommodation for up to five. There is sitting headroom throughout. 

She is rigged as a Bawley with mainsail, topsail, foresail and jib. Sails are by Jimmy Lawrence of Brightlingsea. Her 37bhp Thornycroft diesel engine was installed new in 1991, and has been regularly serviced since.
