Engine Room and Services
Main engine is a 280 BHP Man B&W Alpha 404VO, installed 1964, driving a variable pitch propeller. It last had a major service in 2005. Fuel consumption is estimated at 30 to 40 litres per hour at cruising speed ~ 8.5 knots, giving her a range in the region of 13,000 miles! Maximum speed is in the region of 10 knots. She has a Hydraulically driven Bow Thruster for close quarters manoeuvring and three AC Generators.
Fuel consumption of auxiliary generators is in the region of 30 litres per day.
