Engine

It is rare that one gets such excellent access to all sides of the engine

Completely rebuilt by Volvo in 1996, the engine is regularly serviced. Cruising speed for Harbinger under engine is around five knots using a gallon per hour. The drip tray under the engine sump keeps the bilges clean

The drive to the engine driven bilge pump can be seen in the photo above.

Engine control is by a single lever unit by the helm
