Ilona of Kylesku, formerly Mauna Loa, is a Twin Screw Diesel Schooner built in 1907 by James Armour and Sons of Fleetwood, UK,
of Pitch Pine planking over Oak frames, to the design of
William Stoba. She was bought by the Duke of Westminster in 2001 and was completely restored and modernised
over a two year period by Southampton Yacht Services using the interior design services
of Bjorn Johansson.
She offers luxurious accommodation for five guests
in three cabins, all en-suite, and crew accommodation for four in two
cabins. Propulsion is by twin Gardner six-cylinder, 6LW 94hp diesel
engines.
Her spec, includes bow thruster, twin generators, air-conditioning,
stabilisers, and watermaker.
She has been updated with the latest technology, kept in perfect
state and often used as a hospitality yacht for VIP’s at classic yacht events.
She has proven herself as a superb cruising yacht having travelled between
the Mediterranean and Scotland under her current ownership.
