The Volvo M.D.22A 59hp four cylinder diesel with 2.4:1 reduction gearbox and freshwater cooling is flexibly mounted and drives the three blade fixed bronze propeller through an Aqua-Drive coupling via a 1.5" diameter 316 stainless steel propeller shaft with rope cutter.
Deck saloon helm position instruments including rev counter, water temperature, oil pressure, voltmeter, hour meter, water and fuel dials along with toggle switches for the engine compartment extractor fan, windscreen wiper, instrument light and the key switch along with the audible alarm with test button.
A second panel is fitted at upper helm position including rev counter, key switch and audible alarm.
Diesel fuel is supplied from two 50 gallon (227 litre) 14swg stainless steel tanks fitted one to port and one to starboard below the deck saloon floor and separately filled.
Each tank fitted with a sump and drain for water and contaminates and an access panel for cleaning.
Facility to select fuel supply from either tank.
Fuel supplied via a Racor water separator/fuel filter in addition to the engine mounted filter.
Diesel tanks separately vented.
Cross flow pipe fitted to allow even weight distribution and filling.
Electric fuel gauge in starboard tank with dial at deck saloon instrument panel.
