Construction

Hull: - 1.25in thick Pitch Pine planks on 2in x 2in steamed Oak frames, with Oak and Elm floors, Copper fastened and Copper sheathed to 6 ins above the waterline. 
Deck: - 3/4 inch Marine ply overlaid with Mahogany strip caulked with 2-part Polysulphide sealant.
Wheelhouse: - Teak with strip Mahogany on 3/4 inch marine ply.
Ballast - External,  Cast Iron, 2.5 tons
Ballast - Internal, Cast Iron, 0.6 tons
Keel bolts  - wrought iron  - all replaced 1998
