Liberty S was built by the famous Picchiotty Viarreggio shipyard in Italy in 1955 for the Innocenti family, of Lambretta scooter fame. Carvel construction hull of Liban (Libyan) Cedar with copper sheathing below the waterline, Aluminium Wheelhouse and Teak laid decks. She offers 4 double and three single Owner/Guest berths and up to seven crew berths. She is a full Part One Registered British Ship.

She has two Fiat  535CV diesel engines  giving a cruising speed of 12 knots at 1,200 rpm.  Her fuel capacity gives her a range in the region of 2000 miles. She has two diesel generators and has Vosper stabilisers. 

She has had major refits in 1983, 1990, 1995 and 2004 when she was in dry dock for four weeks.
