Lutra II is a Super Sovereign Long Keel Ketch, built in GRP by Uphams of
Brixham in 1971 to the Holman and Pye design. She offers up to five berths in two cabins, has a good galley a
chart table and separate heads. She comes well equipped for ocean cruising
with Monitor windvane self steering, mast steps, liferaft, radar, electric anchor winch, SSB
receiver Navtex etc., etc..
Mechanical propulsion is by Perkins
Prima 4-cylinder 50hp diesel.
In the last ten years Super Sovereign 35 Lutra II,
the Atlantic coast of France, Spain and Portugal, then extensively in the
Western and Eastern Mediterranean, crossed the Atlantic to the Cape Verde
Islands and then Bermuda, then North from Grenada to Antigua, back via the
Azores and Falmouth then up to Amsterdam, finally to Poland and, with the mast
down, back through Germany to Berlin where the owner now lives and
works. This year she has cruised Denmark and Sweden for a few
