Specifications

'Mallard' is a Quester 42ft 6in, cruiser stern, narrowboat built by Eastern Caravans.

She was launched in January 2001 and has only travelled from Billing Aquadrome to Shardlow Marina and is thus as new.

Boat Safety Certificate to Jan 2005.

Extras include, Gas CH, Twin gas cylinders, Caldwell 'Gold' anodised windows, brass ventilators, anchor, immersion heater, 10x240V power points, inverter, TV/Video, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle and electric fan heater.

Fit Out

'Gold' Anodised Windows (5) and Portholes (3). Brass Ventilators. Polystyrene insulation. Far eastern ply lining. 18mm wood flooring on tannelised battens.

6x12V lucky lights plus 2 Berth reading lights. Vinyl flooring in bathroom and galley. Carpet Tiles elsewhere. Fiamma electric water pumps for main supply and shower pump-out. Fire blanket, 3 extinguishers, smoke alarm and life ring.

Forward Cabin

Corner Unit with shelving. TV/Video, aerial booster and Inverter, 240V outlet and 12V.

Solid Fuel stove (unused) with short chimney cover and tall stack.

Dinette converts to a comfortable 6ft x 6ft bed with sheepskin cover.

Galley

On one side is a storage cupboard. On the other is a fully equipped Galley with Vanette SL 4000 hob with 4 rings and piezo-electric lighting, 2200GG oven and grill. Ranger RIR 400 fridge, SMEV Stainless steel sink and drainer. Sharp microwave. Storage below and Shelving above.

Bathroom / heads

Shower with curtain and mixer taps. Sink and pedestal with cabinet and mirror.

Large capacity Thetford Aquamagic pump-out toilet.

Rear Cabin / Bedroom

Fixed double berth with reading lights and shelving. Rear Wardrobe houses electrics and the hot water tank. Hot water supply is by Calorifier, gas CH or immersion heater. Substantial under-bed storage.

Central Heating

Alde gas central heating with radiators or electric fan heater.

Electrics

Hull 

10x6x3 mm construction. 4 anodes. Dark blue with cream coach lines. Traditional cream and red stern. International Toplac paintwork with 2 primer coats and 2 topcoats.

Engine

Beta Marine Kubota-based 4 cylinder 1500cc diesel with a 2:1 reduction gearbox.

Tankage

The cruiser stern has twin gas bottles; the first has only been partly
used.

General

Automatic bilge pump. Twin gas cylinders in rear locker. 240V shore supply cable. Water hose.

Complete with all ropes, fenders, spikes, anchor, 2x lock handles, vacuum cleaner, pots, pans, plates, mugs glasses, cutlery. Waterway maps and guides. Guarantees and equipment brochures.
