This Finesse 24 Lifting Keel yacht, Mariette, was built by A. F. Platt
of Thundersley, Essex, Iroko on Oak, in 1971. She has a Gaff Cutter Rig designed by Mark Butler
of James Lawrence Sailmakers, Brightlingsea, with new Stainless Steel rigging
and spars in 2001 and Sailspar headsail furling on both foresails. She has
been extensively renovated, including fitting new windows and 16hp Sole diesel
and good electronics pack.

The Finesse 24 was designed and built by an East Coast yard
specifically for exploring the shallow Thames Estuary rivers and creeks.
Her shallow draft gives her the ability to get where most boats can't even
think of going. Her Gaff Cutter rig makes her one of the prettiest
boats around with the ability to change sail area easily.
