Refurbishment of Mystico
MastMast taken out and stripped down. All fittings removed and regalvanised. Areas of soft wood made good with spruce scarphs. New bronze halyard winches (in original design), cross trees, rigging and bottle screws affixed. All contemporary wooden blocks purchased and replaced where necessary. New chain plates and new mast step manufactured and fitted. InteriorInterior totally stripped out down to bare hull, including all furniture, bulk heads, diesel and water tanks, engine, gear box and electrics. Frames checked and refastened where necessary. Floors checked and two new floors put in; all bronze fastened. Hull completely checked and re-planked where necessary. Copper sheathing in these areas made good or replaced with new. All interior woodwork, including bulk heads and cabin sole, burnt off down to bare wood, treated and painted/varnished. Original furniture was replaced where practical. Engine and gear boxBoth totally stripped down and re-built. New Aquadrive 20000 installed. New stainless steel water tank of 100 gallon capacity manufactured and installed. Total re-wiring of entire boat carried out including instrument panels, battery charger, gauges, etc. Wiring on the mast was also totally replaced. DeckDeck and coach house roof re-sheathed. All brightwork re-chromed including fair leads, portholes, and secondary sheet winches. New Anderson stainless steel primary self tailing winches installed. Forward and lazaret hatch covers re-built in teak to original design. New steering station/binnacle built of teak and installed in cockpit. |
