Naiande is a Robert Clark designed Mystery Class cutter, built by Sussex Yacht works, Shoreham in 1938 of Mahogany and Pitch Pine on oak frames.  Her coachroof, hatches, handrails and toe rails are of teak. She has a lead keel.

Approximate Dimensions

Length Overall  39ft 11.88m
Waterline Length  26ft 6ins 8.08m
Beam  9ft 2.74m
Draft  5ft 9ins 1.75m
Displacement  7 tons 7,100kg
Thames Tonnage 10 tons

A restoration project to include fitting a new engine was started a little over  ten years ago but has been abandoned through ill health.

She has been kept under canvas covers ever since and appears to be in good restorable condition.  There is a new unused Volvo 2003 diesel engine and gearbox ready for installation. Additional gear includes an Aries Windvane self steering gear and a Walker log  as well as racks full of equipment that has been accumulated, some new, some removed from her, and some bought second hand.

She will almost certainly require some refastening, some plank and frame replacement, a new rudder, new deck covering, re wiring, new cooking equipment, new plumbing, a lot of cosmetic work and the engine and gearbox put in.
