Cockpit

The cockpit is not self draining MG's preference for any shipped water to accumulate nearer amidships for pumping out with the cockpit mounted bilge pump.

MG "Lococab" providing shelter, within which are mounted Nasa "Target" echo sounder (with depth alarm) and Apelco keypad GPS (interchangeable mounting for same also at chart table below) and mounting for Stowe Log.
Eyeball Sestrel compass mounted on forward bulkhead, in which also sliding hatch to galley below.
2 Lewmar 30 STC two speed winches, pedestal mounted outside coaming (1998).
Mountings on coaming and tiller for Autohelm 800.

" plank (with vertical support) to make port side bench seat into berth.
" MG sailing seats (port and srarboard) fitting over coaming.
" spare Sestrel compass, to fit immediately below tiller.
Stowage under bench seats, including fibreglass lined locker for two Calor gas cylinders, self draining outboard through hull.
Fire extinguisher.
Bilge pump.
Fog Horn.
Spare tiller (Lloyds Register requirement).
Outboard engine bracket on pushpit.
Spraydodgers, with backrests and 3' cylindrical "cushions" on backstays.
6 cockpit cushions.

 

Demountable Swedish cockpit table.

Boom tent, fully enclosing cockpit down to side deck level also invaluable as windbreak when only half rigged to weather side.
