Owner's Comments
After a long search for a classic wooden boat in Italy, and abroad, I’ve seen Rondine II in 1996. In the end, Rondine II was the best option for her wonderful looking, fine condition and for incredible performance under sail. In fact she was built for regattas and her record of success is very large in her long history.
I’ve used Rondine II for regattas (classic boats events) but mainly for cruises all along the Mediterranean sea (from Greece, turkey to Spain). I didn’t have any technical or navigation problems due to the strict and continuous maintenance performed.
I’ve sailed everywhere with kids and family crew.
Rondine II is a very safe boat, very balanced and stable on her course (you don’t need to stay at wheel in calm sea, due to the long keel, too).
I’m selling her as I’m planning to sail around the world. For that reason I need a new boat which could afford those long sailings at a higher speed and with less maintenance needs. |
