The mast is Sitka spruce, hollow box section approx 6" x 5" max, and was stripped down to bare wood and treated with 3 coats of Owatrol followed by 8 coats of schooner varnish. All fittings in steel were re-galvanised. All in 2003 
All halliards and spinnaker topping lift run through clutches on the forward side of the mast
Served by Antal chrome winch (2002).
Spinnaker pole (varnished Sitka spruce) stows on dedicated track on forward side of mast, making deploying and stowage very easy.
Boom is Sitka spruce, varnished, with 3 sets of slab reefing lines to bee blocks running to clutches under boom served by small Simpson Lawrence chrome winch.

1 MG Duff Anode on starboard quarter, earthed to stern tube. New 1999 
Shaft Drive with flexible coupling (new 2003) and deep sea seal (new 2003) to cutlass bearing (new 2003)


Water: 20 galls in galvanised steel tank under cabin sole (re galvanised 2000)
Diesel:  7 gall in steel tank (removed and shot blasted, then Hammerite painted 1999) under port quarter
Paraffin:  gal for riding light and cabin light in oil storage container, port locker.
Alcohol (for cooking - not drinking!):  I gall under galley

Battery, Delco Freedom 110amp hr. About 6 years old, but tested 2003 and in good condition. During winter lay up the battery is plugged permanently into an intelligent battery monitor, and during the season, it is maintained by : -
