Scimitar is a Cheverton Crusader built and designed by David Cheverton and Partners, Newport, IOW, in 1961. Construction is Mahogany, Strip Plank on Oak frames, with a Mahogany and marine ply - glass sheathed superstructure. She offers 4 berths in two cabins. Mechanical propulsion is by Nanni 3.75HE 3-cylinder 21hp Marine diesel installed 2007.
