Specifications
Scimitar is a Cheverton Crusader built and designed by David Cheverton
and Partners, Newport, IOW, in 1961. Construction is Mahogany, Strip Plank
on Oak frames, with a Mahogany and marine ply superstructure. Her
coachroof and decks are glass sheathed. She has an Iron keel. A sample of two
keelbolts were inspected 2004 and found fine.
