Owner's Comments
As mentioned in the PBO report of August 1975, “The Draco MS 24 is certainly designed for speed under sail, with a deep fin keel, bulb ballast, and a skeg hung rudder. The hull is shallow and flat bottomed, and she only lacks a bit of beam to be in the quarter ton mould.” I have found this to be very true. Summerwind is stiff, manageable, and can be sailed with ease by a crew of two. The report also showed her to be fast in light airs and responsive to the gusts.
Through ill health, I am finding it more difficult to look after her and use her - so she is reluctantly for sale. |
