Owner's CommentsI bought Timoneer in 1987 and she has always been carefully looked after. She has been laid up ashore every winter, covered fully, usually with the mast down. She has been generally day-sailed out of the Tamar, with the occasional longer trip westwards.
Timoneer has been fitted out as usual over the winter and is now afloat on the Tamar and is in regular use. The survey in November '04 was very favourable: the surveyors' recommendations have all been dealt; with the bottom rudder pintle was renewed and a number of small points dealt with.
Broker's CommentsFolkboats are super little ships, their long keel configuration give them a very kindly motion in a seaway. The long distance capabilities of the Folkboat including participation several transatlantic races are legend. |
