Engine

The Petter engine is below the bridgedeck with easy access from the cabin, bridgedeck and cockpit. It is serviced every winter and the alternator and starter stored at home. It has a 9-pint fuel tank mounted on it, giving gravity feed to the fuel pump. Filters are easily available and very cheap!

The original Petter AB 1 hand start, air-cooled engine was removed 4 years ago and replaced by a similar model, but with electric start, and water cooling, the AB 1M. There is a comprehensive set of spare parts, a spare gearbox and manuals. There is a hefty alternator serving the electrics. The propeller is two-bladed, 1 1 x 7.
