Tolly is a Colin Archer style Motor Sailer Ketch, built by Moen and Son in Risör, Norway in 1924.

The Hull is Oak Planks on Oak frames. Fastenings are believed to mainly Juniper treenails below the waterline and  hot Galvanised Iron dumps above. She is fully Copper sheathed below the waterline (2000). The superstructure is Mahogany and the decks are Epoxy Glass sheathed, laid Pine.  The ballast is 5 tons of Concrete in the bilge.
