As a prototype for the Falmouth 32 Tudor Rose was built in 1950 by the Falmouth Boat Construction Company to designs by Arthur C Robb for Commander W. B. Luard OBE RN, then President of the Little Ship Club.

At that time she was written up in Yachting Monthly, Yachting World and featured in the Yachting World Annual.

She is a full Part One British registered ship.

Tudor Rose is carvel construction, Teak and Mahogany on Oak frames, Teak to just above the waterline and then Mahogany to deck level. Toerails are Teak.   Decks are Western Red Cedar sheathed in GRP. The coachroof and cockpit sides are varnished Mahogany.

She has a traditional long lead keel with a keel hung rudder. Her stainless steel keel bolts were removed checked and replaced in 2001. All in excellent condition.

The current owner bought her in 1983 and retired her from racing, but she has cruised the Southern North Sea and visited Belgium, and Holland most years since then. Having said that she is retired, she did win the Slow Handicap on the annual Rally to Ostend this summer "because it was her turn to win".
