Routine fitting out:

All external varnish and paintwork has been rubbed down and re-done every year, cockpit varnish every 2 years. Bilges cleaned and painted every year. Internal paintwork washed down and touched-up every year – also rolling programme of renewal. Diesel tanks removed cleaned and replaced every 2 years, water-tank washed out and purified every year. Engine layup and run-up routines followed every year including replacing filters and oil etc. Antifouling is Blakes Tiger Extra.

Major work done:

1992 – New engine installed, roller furling gear and genoa, sail cover, cabin heater and stowage lockers. New rudder and sternpost fastenings.
1993 – New Instruments, VHF. New mizzen, and awning. Improvements to interior stowage. New main-hatch. Improvements to wiring.
1994 – New Autohelm, interior stowage, hatch-boards.
1995 – Scraped all varnish to bare wood and revarnished 5 coats Schooner. Re-chromed window surrounds, new windows. Re-made gas locker, trim to forward bulkhead. New Mainsail. Renewed fastenings and deadwood bolts.
1996 – Removed keel bolts, rebedded keel, new keelbolts. New iroko floor-boards. Midships diesel tank fitted. Altered trim of main mast.
1997 – New lower shrouds. Rebuilt alternator. New fresh-water piping. Internal paintwork and varnish.
1998 – New upper shrouds. New fairleads, new liferaft. Rebuilt starter motor. New chrome fairleads, boarding ladder, saloon bunk cushions. 
1999 – New mast-collar. Replaced roller-furling drum and line.
2000 – Engine stripped and rebuilt by French’s. Antifouling stripped back to bare wood – painted 5 coats metallic pink primer, 2 coats Blakes Hard-Racing AF. 7 timbers repaired/replaced by Halls, all metalwork in engine area (floors, thrust plate etc.) galvanised and refastened.
2001 – new exhaust pipe, new backstay fitting. New sprayhood.
2002 – routine maintenance only
2003 – Improvements to bow-rollers, internal paintwork, main hatch lock. Liferaft serviced.
2004 – Improvements to chain locker, internal stowage.
