White Wings II
|
Comments
We brought White wings on 1999 as an insurance right off. She was all but ready to be broken up after a gas explosion on board her in Yarmouth harbour, on the Isle of Wight. After 3 long years putting her back together of which we have a good photographic history of the rebuild. She has repaid are efforts 10 fold. Being such a pretty, practical and safe little yacht. We have spent many days and nights aboard her cruising over a thousand miles around the Solent and the south coast. While also achieving 4 channel crossings. She sails very well and can easily be sailed singled handily. She performs very well in heavy conditions and has never given me any cause for concern. Like all long keeled yachts she is not the fastest to turn, but is very balanced and will look after herself once you have set her up. We have 3 son's and friends who have enjoyed her with us and all have good stories of their adventures on her. This September we purchased a larger Yacht to accommodate our growing family. Hence our sad decision to sell what has become very much a member of our family.
